Add grip, cushioning and surface protection to horse-float floors, ramps and tailgates. SureFoot Mat offers practical rubber flooring options for everyday owners, trainers and commercial transport operators.

Loading, turning and standing in a moving float place different demands on both the horse and the floor. A suitable rubber surface can help improve traction, soften the ride, reduce noise and protect the structure below from wear. The correct product depends on whether it is being installed on the floor, ramp, tailgate or external loading area.
Textured surfaces help give horses a more secure footing on floors and ramps.
Rubber creates a more forgiving surface than a bare hard floor and can help make standing during transport more comfortable.
Matting provides a replaceable wear layer between hooves and the floor or ramp below.
A correctly selected and installed surface can simplify wash-down and ongoing maintenance. Drainage and drying requirements must be considered as part of the installation.
Floors, ramps, tailgates and external loading zones need different products. The SureFoot Mat team can recommend a suitable combination for the vehicle and use case.

Use durable rubber flooring to create a more forgiving surface underfoot and protect the base of the float. Products can be cut to suit the available floor area; final thickness, joins and fixing method should be confirmed before installation.
Choose a surface designed to provide secure footing on the incline while protecting the ramp below. The mat must be sized and fixed for the specific tailgate so edges and joins do not create a trip point.
For soft, muddy or high-use ground outside the float, use a stabilisation system rather than an internal rubber mat. Agri-Ground Cell® can be used to improve access and reduce surface movement in suitable external areas.
Send the SureFoot Mat team the float dimensions, photos of the floor and ramp, and details of how the float is used. We’ll help identify the products to quote and any installation questions to resolve.
